§ 01Context

Mailchimp pricing grows aggressively with list size, and its automation model gets in the way once you want custom logic. I needed full control over deliverability, segmentation, and cost for real marketing operations.

§ 02What I built

A full platform on Amazon SES: campaign composer, automation flows, tag-based segmentation, bounce and complaint handling wired to SES notifications, and analytics. Next.js frontend, Supabase for data and auth, deployed on Vercel.

§ 03Outcome

Production system running real campaigns at a fraction of Mailchimp's cost, with bounce handling that keeps sender reputation healthy. Marketing operations that used to be priced per contact now grow the list without the bill following it up, and I own every layer behind that: deliverability, automation logic, and the infrastructure it runs on.
